Fun in Disneyland

13 July

I was very excited when I found out I was going to Disneyland. It took about 45 minutes to get there on the RER train system. These trains go faster than the normal Metro trains. Disneyland was the last stop on the train line and when we got there and got out of the station, there was a gigantic sign that said Paris Disneyland. I was super excited that I was at Disneyland.

We had to have our bags checked by a security guard at the entry who insisted on looking in every pocket in my backpack. When we got inside we found out that we had to go through a small castle to get our tickets, we had to get passes, not tickets, and it took about 15 minutes, but it seemed like hours because I really wanted to go on the rides.

When we got in to the park, we watched a brass band play and then walked up Main Street and in front of us was a humungous castle. First we went to Adventure Land which I thought sounded cool. The best thing we saw there was the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse, which we got to climb in. We also went to Fontierland where we went into a haunted house which was not very scary but it was fun and I liked the skeleton wearing a top hat. Every five seconds he went, "Ha, ha, ha!" and tipped his hat. We also got ice-cream and went on a big paddle steamer. Mum and Dad were excited to see a band of African drummers who sang, danced and played drums. They were too loud for me.
